The Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) is a certificate issued by Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) or Commodity Boards authorised by the Government of India under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
Any Indian exporter who wishes to claim concessions, duty exemptions, MEIS/RoDTEP benefits, advance authorisation or other export incentives under FTP must hold a valid RCMC from the relevant EPC for their export product category.
RCMC is essentially your membership proof with the export promotion body of your industry — it validates that you are a registered, legitimate exporter.
Without RCMC, exporters cannot claim duty drawbacks, MEIS, RoDTEP, or advance authorisation benefits.
RCMC has a validity of 5 years from date of issue (April–March cycle) and must be renewed before expiry.
